3 Tools To Make Bootable Linux USB Drive
I’ve earlier shared 2 tools Unetbootin, LinuxLiveUSB that can
help users create bootable usb drive of linux distributions, with the release of Ubuntu 9.10 ( Karmic Koala ).Today I share another tool that will let you create a bootable ubuntu live usb drive from the image of the Ubutnu Linux Distribution.
It can also make live usb drives of other variants of Ubuntu like Kubuntu, Edubuntu and Xubuntu. It supports the latest Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala as well.Incase you already don’t have a ISO Image, the tool can also download the same aswell and create the live USB.
How To create a Live USB Bootable Disk :
- Select an ISO image or CD/DVD source.
- Choose the thumb-drive that you want to install the ISO/CD/DVD image on.
- Select the size of a persistence file (this stores your documents and settings on the USB drive even after you have shut-down the computer – highly recommended).
Various persistence file sizes from 128 MB to 4096 MB are available.
