DiskAid USB pendrive have become an essential tool for easy data transfers but these devices are still memory constraint as the maximum memory available is about 16GB, we do have external USB HDD but they are huge in size and need an external power supply.

    If you are on Mac or Linux, and want to try Chrome before Google releases separate versions,To make it easy for all Mac and Linux users here’s CrossOver Chromium which is a Mac and Linux port of the open source Chromium web browser from Google.

    But there are a few downsides, for using this

    • Not fully secure, and optimum.
    • Contains Developer Build 21 of Chromium,
    • No AutoUpdater, as in Google Chrome.

    If you are twiiter user and want to follow your friends tweets, then here are two screensavers that let you follow your tweets on your screensaver.

    1.TweetSavr is a screensaver that connects to your Twitter account to display your latest tweets, your friends, or even public tweets. TweetSavr allows you to keep up-to date with Twitter .To install TweetSavr open the DMG and drag “TweetSavr” to the “Screensavers” folder.

    You can find the Twitter RSS URL from the bottom of your Twitter profile.It Should look something like; (feed://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/6075622.rss).

    TweetSavr works with Mac OS X 10.5 or later, Quartz Extreme.

    2. Flitter : If Your are a Windows User you can use Flitter which is a mashup from Flickr and Twitter, it retrieves realtime data from both Flickr and Twitter to display those when the screensaver is active. It is possible to watch a certain Twitter user only or watch yourself and your friends and family. You may choose to either view the works of a specific user or use tags for Flickr images.

    .net framework 3.0 has to be installed on XP systems. To install the screensaver simply download the archive from the developers homepage and right-click the .scr file.

    How To JailBreak iPhone and iPod Touch 2.1 On MAC and Windows »

    With the recent software update for the iPod and iTouch,Any one with a jailbreak iPhone/iPod would result in locking up their iPhone.iPod firmware 2.1 was jailbroken by QuickPwn project. Here are the new versions of PwnageTool and QuickPwn that support the 2.1 firmware.

    The iPhone Dev Team has released QuickPWN 2.1 for MAC. This is completely GUI based and allows you to jailbreak your iPhone 2.1 and iPod Touch 2.1 on a MAC.

    If you want to jailbreak your iPhone or iPod Touch 2.1 on Windows, you will have to use the unofficial jailbreak on QuickPWN.com untill an official version is released by the iPhone Dev Team.

    Here’s a guide how to jailbreak your iPod touch 2.1 on Windows using the unofficial release

    To jailbreak your iPod Touch 2.1 firmware, you must first be running a jailbroken firmware and be able to SSH into it.

    • 1. SSH into your iPod Touch and download a backup copy of your MobileInstallation file from /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework
    • 2. Download iPod Touch 2.1, shift-click restore in iTunes to install it.
    • 3. Download QuickPWN, and launch the QuickPWN.exe file. Follow the instructions in there until you get the “Your Device has successfully been PWNED” message at the end.
    • 4. Once your iPod Touch reboots, your iPod Touch 2.1 is jailbroken, except you won’t have Installer/Cydia just yet. Follow the below instructions to get these apps on there.
    • 5. Download Total Commander and the T-Pot plugin:

    • http://www.ghisler.com/download.htm
    • 6. Launch Total Commander, and navigate to /System/Library/PrivateFrameWorks/MobileInstallation.framework
    • 7. Replace the MobileInstallation file with the one you downloaded in the beginning

    That’s it! Reboot your iPod Touch 2.1 and you will see Installer and Cydia. Congratulations you now have a jailbroken iPod Touch 2.1.

    I’ve stumbled upon this image of the Windows OS  and Apple’s Mac transition from Windows 95 to Windows Vista and from Apple Mac OS 7 to Mac OSX  10.5

    The desktop images clearly show the transitions the Operating System have made since almost more than 2 decades.
