Whenever you install a software in Windows, It gets installed in the Windows Program Files located in the default Windows Installation Drive, for Ex. C:/Program Files. You can change this to a folder of your choice with a simple Registry Hack, this works in both XP and Vista install programs into that.
- Click Start.
- Click Run…
- Type Regedit.
- Look for this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion
- In the rightside window look for ProgramFilesDir. Double click on it and change C:\Program Files to another folder or directory.
