If your testing Windows 7 RC then you might have seen the Windows 7 new taskbar.Google GMail Notifier Plus is independent of other applications and sits in the tray and retrieves your mails via Gmail’s secured RSS feed.

The tool also shows a preview of the mail right in the applications popup in the system tray, and takes you to your Gmail in your browser,The tool also shows the number of unread mails on the applications icon.It also stores all the credentials in your system using your systems dependent encryption.
