Find Out If Your Mail Has Been Read Or Not
Till date you can never be sure if the mail you sent has been read by the recipient, but a new service called SpyPig lets you know whether the you sent has been read or not.
SpyPig is a simple email tracking system that sends you a notification email as soon as the recipient opens and reads your message. It works with most of the modern email programs like : Outlook, Eudora, Yahoo Email, Gmail, Hotmail, AOL Email and many others.
To use the service
- Visit SpyPig.com
- Enter your email address to which the notification should be sent by email when your message has been read.
- Give your message a unique title.
- Select one of the SpyPig tracking images.
- Copy the SpyPig image and then paste it anywhere into your email message body. (Make sure you use an HTML-formatted email, not a plain-text or rich-text email.)
The drawbacks with this service is that
- Both you and the recipient must use an HTML-formatted email, not a plain-text or rich-text formatted email.
- SpyPig doesn’t seem to work if you use a Firefox browser (at least on PC).
- Number of notifications cannot be user defined, presently fixed for 5 notifications per email.
The best part is that this service is free.
