How To Find Creative Commons License Photos For Your Blog

If you are a blogger who uses lot of images in your blog posts then you can look for Creative Commons License images on Flickr right from your WP Editor by using Photo Dropper Wordpress plugin that lets you add Flickr photos to your posts.Creative Commons licensed photos – images that are licensed for shared use.

If you run a commercial blog you can exclude photos marked non-commercial, For that Go to Options > Photo Dropper and check the box that says “Show only photos that can be used commercially”.

How To Use :

  • Once you install the Photodropper Plugin, the PD Button is available at the top right of your “write post” panel.Clicking on that will launch the search interface where you can type in the keywords.

  • The search will return photos matching your keywords.
  • Once you find a photo you would like to add to your post, click on any of the sizes (”S”mall, “M”edium, “L”arge) to add that photo and attribution link to your post.
  • The photo will appear in your post, followed by a link to the specific CC license for that photo, as well as a link back to the photodropper site, and a link to the photographer’s Flickr page.
