Save PC Power Consumption Using Edison

A typical PC consumes 535kWh of electricity a year and two-thirds of that energy is wasted when the computer isn’t in active use.Edison is a free energy-monitoring application and puts you in control of your

PC energy usage by letting you choose the level of power consumption by adjusting the slider control with the words, “Save Less” and “Save More” at either end and below that a rough estimate of the amount of power you saved is shown.

You can set minimum saving during work hours and maximum saving during nights in case you leave your system on during nights, Edison does what can be done via the control panel in Window’s Power Management Tool but in a more intuitive manner.
