whatisthatfile.com Users are generally confused about different applications running in the background, all the backround running applications can be seen in the Windows Task Manager [ Ctrl + Shift + Escape ] there could be some applications which you cannot identify, Then WhatIsThatFile can be to your rescue. It is like a dictionary for lookup for over 3000 unknown files/applications .

Just enter the filename in the searchbox and it will highlight files that are potentially dangerous, such as a virus or malware, and give a brief description of each. It will even let you know if an application is a prime target for infections, such as Internet Explorer (iexplore.exe).

Anyone can edit the information for a particular file, or add a file themselves, but they are subject to the approval.

One needs different codecs to play different file formats but sometimes it might get difficult to know whakcmsoundt all Codec drivers and DirectShow filters are currently installed on your system.InstalledCodec is a small utility that displays the list of all Codec drivers and DirectShow filters currently installed on your system and can be either enable or disable on right click. For each component the following information is displayed: Display Name, Type, Disabled Status, Installed/Modified Time, Description, Company Name, Filename, and more… It allows you to easily disable or enable any Codec/DirectShow component or export the list into text/xml/html file.

Integrate FeedBurner Feeds Into Blogger »

FeedBurner’s new offering to its users since its acquisition by Google last month, this time it is for bloggers using the Blogger service from Google,you can now redirect your Blogger Feed to FeedBurner.

The main advantage of this is that you will be able to track all your subscribers through FeedBurner who have subscribed to your feed using the Blogger’s default feed. You’ll be counting everyone, so your subscribers count may increase.

For Redirecting your feed just log into your Blogger account, select Settings | Site Feed, enter your FeedBurner feed address and click “Save Settings”.
