CleanHandler - Edit AutoPlay Options In XP and Vista »

When you pop in a CD/USB Drive in XP/Vista you get an AutoPlay Option Window giving you an option to chose the action to be taken directly using the applications listed in the AutoPlay Options.

CleanHandlers helps you remove the invalid entries from the listing. In addition, this utility can find invalid AutoPlay entries and also remove them automatically.

Application Fixes :

  1. Select an action to perform box is completely blank for an event.
  2. To remove unwanted entries from the AutoPlay window.
  3. A junk entry appears in the AutoPlay window, sub-titled as <need provider>

AutoPlay Handlers are located at the following registry location in Windows

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ AutoplayHandlers \ Handlers \ <handler>

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ AutoplayHandlers \ EventHandlers \ <Event Name>

Note : Registry Editing is a tricky part, so do backup your registry before you try editing your registry.

darkroom-1 Mac OS X application WriteRoom, lets you write in a full-screen, distraction-free, writing environment.Dark Room is a clone of the Mac OS X application WriteRoom.This can be really useful in writing notes, letters, long posts without any distraction.This is only for text, images cannot be inserted.

It needs no installation just download DarkRoom, extract the Zip file and run the DarkRoom.exe to start the application.

How To Disable Start Menu Windows Key During Games »

Every gamer would have experienced what happens when you accidentally hits the Windows Key on the keyboard while playing a game in Windows It would minimize the game windows and open the start menu, this can be really annoying, There is a way to disable the Windows key. This can done in two ways the easy way or the hard way. The easy way is to use a simple freeware, and the hard way is to edit your registry entries,

In order to achieve this you can download a freeware called WinKey Killer, which can be used to disable the start menu and also a few other combinational keys which could disturb you during the game.

How To Use?

  • Extract the zip into a folder.
  • Double click WKeyKill to start the application ie., to disable start menu.
  • For options double click WKKSetup.
  • For re-enabling the start menu, Again Double click WkeyKill.

To get detailed information about whats running in the background like processes, IP Connections, Modules Services, Start-Up applications,Drivers, System Information.Get yourself a tool called WhatsRunning from WhatsRunning.net to get all this information.
