Recently the Android Powered T-Mobile G1 was launched, but to be able use one, you need to sign a contract with T-Mobile for a 2 year service and the mobile will also be Sim-Locked to T-Mobile.For all those who want to see how the device looks and functions T-Mobile has created the G1 Android Emulator which provides a 360-degree view of the phone and also lets you test its features [ limited functionality ] using an online emulator.
The webpage has 3 options
- 360 View of the G1 phone
- Guides on Keyboard Slide,Battery Removal Guide, SIM Insertion Guide ,SD Memory Card Insertion
- Emulator
- Demo notifications of Incoming Calls ,Incoming SMS ,Incoming MMS ,Incoming E-Mail ,Incoming Instant Message and
- many more like Google Search,Google maps, phone book, GMail Interface, etc..
In the Emulator you can also use some of the features with some limited functionality like but can see the menus and options and the default applications that the phone comes bundled with.

I have also read about an app for the g1 phone that utilizes the camera to scan bar codes in markets and be able to compare prices without having to drive around town.
