I’ve earlier shared LockHunter, a free file unlocker for Windows OS, but the same situation can also arise in Mac OS so here’s Lock UnMatic a free Mac OS file unlocker that can unlock files which cannot be deleted because of insufficient access rights, or because some processes are still using these files in the background.

To unlock files in Mac OS drag the file on the Lock UnMatic application icon which will show the all blocking processes in a new window.It’s also possible to kill these processes from within the application window.It also shows other details like the application name which is using process, PID, etc.,
